Two years after the successful run of “DOST at 60 in SM Supermalls” in 2018, comes another partnership between the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and SM Supermalls to continue promoting science and technology breakthroughs nationwide.

The collaboration, through a series of exhibits in SM Supermalls, conveys the technologies and innovations made by Filipino scientists and researchers for the general public.

DOST and SM Supermalls partner again to conduct series of S&T exhibits in participating SM Supermalls nationwide

Organized by the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI), the exhibit will feature some worthy inventions and technologies developed and assisted by the Department, such as the winners of the Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits and locally-funded projects of the DOST Councils, Research and Development Institutes, and Regional Offices.

“This initiative signifies the combined commitment of DOST and SM Supermalls in serving the greater good,” said Romeo M. Javate, Officer-in-Charge of DOST-TAPI.

The series of exhibits provide better accessibility to information on technological developments in various priority areas of the Department, in agricultural productivity, industry competitiveness, health and nutrition, enterprise development, information technology as well as disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

It also provides a space for locally-developed technologies for adoption and commercialization, and partnership and networking in the industry.

The first series of exhibits will be conducted on 02 September 2021 with the virtual launching of the partnership at 10 AM via the DOST-TAPI Facebook and SM Supermalls Pages at www.facebook.com/DOST.TAPI and www.facebook.com/smsupermalls, respectively.

The first four participating SM Supermalls are SM Southmall, SM Fairview, SM Megamall, and SM City North EDSA that will start in September 2021.
