Technologies and innovations in CALABARZON took the spotlight with the recent installment of the DOST Exhibit in SM Supermalls in SM City Dasmariñas on 29 April to 03 May 2022, SM City San Pablo on 30 April to 04 May 2022, and SM City Lipa on 13-18 May 2022.

Co-organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) through the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) and the DOST-CALABARZON with the SM Supermalls, the activity served as a venue to access and create awareness among the general public about the DOST programs, services, and accomplishments.

Also, the activity sought to encourage adoption, commercialization, partnerships, and thorough understanding of locally-developed technologies as a way to improve the lives of the Filipinos.

The exhibit was able to showcase the DOST’s latest technologies and researches, promote DOST-assisted micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) products, and inform the public to participate in DOST-related activities.

One of the flagship programs of the DOST Regional Offices, the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) encourages MSMEs to upgrade their technologies, implement innovations at their level, and strengthen the country’s innovation system.

It aims to improve productivity and efficiency through the application of technologies, human resource training, design and execution of label packaging, and assistance to comply with regulatory and market standards.
