The Asian and Pacific Centre for Technology Transfer (APCTT) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) held its 13th Session of its Governing Council (GC) last 28-30 November 2017 at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Makati, Manila, Philippines. The Session which highlighted the election of a chairperson and vice chairperson for the GC and the conduct of the international conference on green technology was hosted by the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (TAPI) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Recognized as a quality Institute for technology transfer, promotion, and commercialization, the Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) was awarded by the Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC) as one of the Government Organizations with ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certifications during the 5th Recognition Ceremony on 11 October 2017 at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) Conference Center, Tagaytay City.
